[During our] PRIZM Chamber Music Festival/2011, all 7 of the bassoonists (University of Memphis) played on FOX bassoons. Thank you again for sponsoring Amanda Swain! She was a fantastic addition to our festival. She also just bought a red maple 660, and she sounded great! I look forward to working with FOX again soon.

I wanted to mention briefly that we were very pleased to have Sarah Thelen and Barry Trent from Fox at the Georgia State University Double Reed Day. Barry's class was informative, and I felt that he engaged well with the students.

I know that the bassoon students especially enjoyed being able to play on some instruments that they do not generally have access to, such as the 201, 601 and 660. It's nice for them to get to drive a ferrari every now and then, so to speak.

Fox's presence at our event was invaluable for the bassoon half of things, and I hope that Barry and Sarah will be able to come to our events in the future!

I just wanted to drop a line to let you know how well-received Sarah was today at the Georgia State University Annual Double Reed Day. Sarah’s presentation was informative, entertaining and highly beneficial to the several dozen young (and not-so-young) oboists in attendance. She welcomed everyone’s questions, encouraged open dialog and did an outstanding job separating fact from opinion on a number of topics. I am a professional oboist and long-time instructor in the Atlanta area and nearly every one of the 18 students currently in my private studio has gotten his/her start on a Fox 330. Needless to say, I am a big fan of your company! In my opinion, Sarah serves as an excellent ambassador for Fox Products, and I hope that you both encourage and support her in taking full advantage of any and all future personal appearance opportunities. I will certainly be in the audience the next time she comes to Atlanta.

I was the featured guest artist at the UWM double reed day this past weekend and, during my down time, I was able to take in a few of the other presentations being put on at the event. I was so thrilled to see Barry Trent representing Fox products at this event!! He put on a terrific clinic for the students (which was VERY well attended) and the students (and myself!!) learned a great deal about how your bassoons are made. For example, I now know to ask what model of bassoon a particular artist plays on when writing for them. If they play on a 442 (I believe that is correct) short bore, than I would need to write the piece more into the upper register of the bassoon and less in the lower register. What great information for even a composer (and band director)!!! I just wanted to commend you for continuing to service these smaller events (as well as the big ones) despite the tough times. It is very much appreciated and people are taking notice. When things pick back up again, we will all remember you were there with us the whole time and didn't back out when times were tough. Bravo to you, many thanks, and please do keep up all of these wonderful things you are doing!! God bless!!!

My daughter, Kelly and I had the pleasure of meeting you recently at IDRS as we began the process of purchasing [her] instrument. Over the course of the past several months, I've called a few times to get information on used instruments. I have always received frank and honest assessments (both positive and negative) which proved very helpful. We have now concluded that process thanks to the help of many of the folks at Fox. Particularly notedful, as we were narrowing our search, I was in contact with Barry Trent (who now makes my daughter's reeds). I had called him regarding an instrument. He worked to find us a newer, better instrument that met our financial limitations. He even included a reed he fashioned for my daughter to play on the instrument as it was sent for us to try. His work and the relationship we've built over the past several months are the primary reason we are now the owners of a Fox 201. We are thrilled with the instrument and look forward to a long relationship with Fox. The R2 bocals work extremely well with the instrument (in fact they are better matched than the three Heckel bocals we were able to test). I look forward to seeing you again sometime in the future.

I just wanted to say I love your bassoons. I played on serial number 002. It was a beautiful piece of mahogany and played such sweet music. I am fortunate enough to have played on it. If only I could afford one now-workin on that! My #2 was the best instrument I have ever played. Thank you for your quality. FYI-I grew up in Huntington and Roanoke, IN. My mother played the same bassoon with her high school music teacher who was friends with Mr. Fox. The music teacher donated it to Huntington North. I love that instrument for the memory of my mother and the quality of the sound it produced.

I just wanted to compliment Fox Products and the staff for making Craig's "Make A Wish" day extremely special today. We all enjoyed the tour and couldn't believe the high class bassoon Craig received! Thank you to everyone for making today extra special for Craig! I'm glad I got to be a part of it! Best regards!

"Since buying my new Fox Model II bassoon in February 2011, I have had laudatory compliments about the instrument from all who have played it including outstanding professional bassoonists. They also have high praise for the new "R2" bocals that I am using."

The new bassoon bocal is a big change. It out plays my Heckel bocal by a significant amount, and it also is far better than the bocal used by the guy I play with who has a 1967 vintage Heckel bassoon and bocal. I was surprised that it worked so well on his bassoon. He, too, was quite shocked! It really solves many of my instrument's problems above high C and just plays much easier on my instrument. The CVX R2 also helped his horns high range and it sounded great all over. Thanks for your continued improvements to your already beautiful products.
