No. 1584 Fox Bassoon Case for Bassoons with 2-Piece Bass Joints

This case and the bassoon it is intended to hold are variously described as having a “2-piece bass joint” or a “divided bass joint” or as a “gentleman’s model.”  By whatever description, the bass joint is shortened to match the length of the wing joint and the missing length is attached to the bell joint.  The resulting instrument can be put into a smaller case.  

Our No. 1580 case is a wood shell case covered in a durable pebble grain material.  The insides are covered with a velvet material.  The outside dimensions of the case are 22 1/2 x 11 3/8 x 4 3/8 inches.  

Assembly is required.  The case is supplied partially blocked.  The loose blocks will need to be installed to fit the specific instrument.
