No. 1595 Fox Contrabassoon Case

This is the same case supplied with new Fox Contrabassoons.  It is made with a sturdy wood shell.  All corner edges are covered with a protective molding.  

The case is provided partially blocked.  The remaining blocking must be fitted to the individual instrument.  

The case measures 52 5/8 x 13 1/8 x 8 inches.  

For persons attempting to fit a non-Fox contra into this case there are two critical dimensions.  The maximum overall length for the instrument cannot exceed 51 inches.  Shorter is okay.  The distance between the centers of the sockets of the large wooden u-tube is approximately 6 1/4 inches.  Stay close to that span.  If the instrument is close to those dimensions the instrument should fit.
