The SKB and SKB2 shapers are based on a shape template by Louis Skinner in the possession of Steve Braunstein. The two shapers are variations of the same shape. The difference is an offset of 5mm lengthwise. The SKB is used by Braunstein with the intention of trimming the shaped cane to length at the butt ends leaving little to clip off of the tip. The SKB2 shape incorporates the butt end change into its design so that the shaper can be used in a more conventional manner with the excess length clipped off of the tip.
