Title: Plant Manager
Position Type: Regular, Full-Time
Reports to: VP of Operations
Location: South Whitley, IN
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Hours: 45 hours per week during normal office hours - 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with overtime as needed

Position Overview

To plan, organize and control production at Fox Products to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ensure all employees follow industry standard health & safety guidelines
  • Provide motivation, support and guidance to all employees
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed & efficiency without compromising employee safety or integrity
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels
  • Oversee a workforce of 100+ employees in the manufacturing departments
  • Instill a Lean culture & environment
  • Strong emphasis on meeting quota goals
  • Overseeing all aspects of plant production
  • Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Reporting on key production metrics
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process
  • Manage & perform within production budgets

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Production Manager
  • 15+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 10+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to coach & mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations·
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards
  • Knowledge of health & safety standards and compliance
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques
  • Solid computer skills
  • Abilities to perform & lead within the principals of lean manufacturing
